We were able to book the apartment "Knapp vorm Kap" (Just Near the Cape) at very short notice and spent nine wonderful days on Rügen in August. There's really nothing to complain about with the accommodation. Everything is there – and if it isn't, a replacement is quickly arranged. It's really tastefully and comfortably furnished – we've never had two bathrooms before. Fortunately, the weather cooperated, too. While the whole of Germany was sweating in 35 degrees Celsius and above, Rügen was always a pleasant 25 degrees Celsius – ideal for us. The location is also unique. Putgarten is a small, quiet village on Cape Arkona. There are day-trippers, but they all leave later. It's just perfect for those seeking relaxation. It was even a bit too quiet for our teenage daughter. The mega-north beach, which can be reached after a 10-minute walk through fields, forests, and meadows, made up for it. Simply fantastic and not at all crowded. We took our four-legged friend to the beach and back every morning. A walk couldn't be more beautiful. We were also lucky enough to meet our landlords, who were also there at the time. It was a completely relaxed atmosphere. Many thanks again to Andy, Yvonne, and Isla. We can wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation and the location. However, we underestimated the size of the island; you have to drive quite a long way to reach the resorts of Binz and Sellin, for example. But we didn't expect to explore the entire island and did a lot in the surrounding area (Cape Arkona, the fishing village of Vitt, "Zur kleinen Rast," the fairytale forest, etc.). Of course, we also went to the beach a lot, which was always a highlight. The bike paths on Rügen aren't particularly well-developed either. It's quite adventurous at times, hopping over cobblestones. But that's not the vacation rental's fault. Vielen Dank für das saubere, geräumige und urgemütliche Ferienhaus. Es ist wirklich alles vorhanden (mehr wie üblich) was man für einen entspannten Urlaub so braucht. Das Haus ist top in Schuß und wenn es mal ein Problem gibt ist immer jemand schnell zur Stelle und hilft. Der Garten ist einfach toll und wir haben diesen auch gern gegossen, damit dieses sehr schön angelegte Paradies erhalten bleibt. Sitzmöbel sind ausreichend vorhanden und in einem äusserst ordentlichen Gartenhaus untergebracht. Man kann den halben Garten zum Sitzen nutzen, jeh nachdem wie die Sonne steht oder der Wind weht. Nachts absolute Ruhe, haben Jahre nicht so gut geschlaffen (Dank der hervorragenden Betten). Vom Haus aus ist Arkona, Vitt oder der Nordstrand super zu erreichen. Gut auch das keine Haustiere erlaubt sind (Haarallergie)
