This restaurant is in one of the oldest houses on Sylt, the interior decoration has kept the best features of the building intact, thus creating a wonderful, intimate feel.
The menu is written in the local dialect, but you can ask for one in English. There are a number of choices for the appetisers and soups, then a section for meat and one for seafood. You can find some of the most typical local dishes, they all come with one or two sides. Their duck is roasted to perfection, and the fish is as fresh as they come. If the evening is chilly, one of their soups will keep you warm!
There aren't many choices for vegetarians, and you must ask the waiter which dishes are gluten free.
Considering the location, the quality, and the care they put into every single detail of their dishes, the prices are really honest.
The service is fast (reasonably, given the time it takes to cook), the staff is kind and ready to explain any and all things from the menu.
You might be lucky to find parking close by, though it's easier to come by bike or on foot.
There are tables outside, under big summer umbrellas. Dogs are welcome.

Unbelievably good. The service was absolutely amazing and we loved every single bite. We were seated outside since the inside was completely booked, it was a bit cold and windy, but they turned on the heaters and gave us tons of blankets and they made us feel extremely welcome. Food choices and recommendations were bang on. We can’t wait to come back
